This festival is called New Year Festival. It always have this festival in 31st December to 1st January. If it the time to have New Year Festival every will have it. It have a lot of activity in this festival such as party, buffet, tombola, concert. On ancient times 25 December was first day on new year,because 24 December is the shortest day in Europe/Middle East (northern hemisphere), so starting 25 December each day there will me more sun light. The current calendar (Gregorian calendar) was adapted form the Julian calendar (created by Julian Caesar. It is a solar calendar with 12 months and 28-31 days.
