What are the beliefs behind Wai Kru Ceremony?

The beliefs behind Wai Kru Ceremony is widely known that the ceremony is the day in which students pay respect to their teachers in order to express their gratitude and asks for the teachers’ blessing and guidance for their studies for the coming academic year. I believe that students thank our teachers for the knowledge they have given us, for the gift of learning, and also wish us good luck in the future school year and in our future lives. It is true that the ceremony is always on Thursdays. It is a fact that the date will vary from school to school. It is usually held towards the beginning of the new academic year.
