Songkran is a Thai traditional New Year which starts on 13th-15th April every year. Songkran festival is a day to show gratitude to ancestors. On this day, there will be a watering ceremony for blessings from respected parents and elders. Songkran Day is National Elderly Day. It is a day to preserve Thai culture and promote Thai traditional activities such as making merit, offering food to monks, tug-of-war, playing Mon son pha, playing Saba, and also splashing water. Songkran is a family day. We have a party with friends and cousins. Moreover, Songkran help to support economy and promote tourism.
