Brother Hilaire

Brother Hilaire or Francois Touvenet Hilaire also known as F.Hilaire was a priest at St.Gabriel’s Bharada Council. When he came to Thailand, he studied Thai and was able to compose Thai textbooks for Thai children to study name “ Drun Studies” . For more than 67 years except during the years of the World War II. Brother Hilaire remained at Assumption College where he gave most the part of his life towards the education to the youth of Thailand. He passed away when he was 87 years old. At present, at Assumption College School, there are the monument and the building are built by name of Bharada F.Hilaire to commemorate his goodness both to the school and to the nation. I am so proud to be a part of this school.
