From the ancient period of time until today of Thailand, there is a strong belief of the respect to the elder person. One of the person who usually being paid of respect is the teacher.
Teachers, in Thai culture, is a person who have strongly dedicated to give the knowledge to the children, so all Thai people believe this is a huge grateful of them. Every year on the January 16th.,when the day is coming, the children will sincerely spend their recognition of this grateful to their teachers and pay respect by giving their teachers with a beautiful bouget pan with various types flowers, such as egg plant flowers, needle flowers, and incense sticks and candles. The key behavior to show the respect is Wai and Prostate.
Thai students continue doing this every year and this become the important ceremony which is set as the teacher day.
