Why World Teacher’s Day is important?

World Teachers Day on October 5th is important day to acknowledge teachers’ hard work and patience in spite of the tiring and stressful job. They enlighten students and work effortlessly to make a difference, educating and inspiring future generations. The aim of the celebration is to mobilize support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers.  The day is also a significant token of the awareness, understanding and appreciation shown for the important contribution that teachers make to education and development.  Every year, the Education International launches a public awareness campaign to highlight the contributions of the teaching profession.
