Songkran Festival
Songkran means to pass or move into, It’s also known as Thai Traditional New Year’s Day which falls during April 13th to 15th every year. During this time the Thai people from rural areas who work in a city like Bankok return home to celebrate the festival.
On the day, There are some activites that we can do;
1. Coming sand temple and forming sand pagodas. As well as bathing rite Baddha images and the monks.
2. Pouring Scented water onto our parents and grandparent’s hands. The elders in turn wish the youngsters good luck and prosperity, so Songkran Day is also a Family Day.
3. After all mention activities, now, we can joyfully splash water on each other.
