Example #1: Autumn

Autumn is the season that falls between summer and winter. There are many changes that begin in this fascinating season. Days become shorter. Without enough sunlight, the leaves turn from green to vibrant red, yellow, and orange. Trees need sunlight to keep their leaves a lively green. The grass is no longer blanketed with dew but covered with frost. Almost every morning, the temperatures reach freezing point. Animals start storing up food supplies to last through the long winter months. After the heat of summer, the Chill of an impending winter is refreshing. I put on my thick leather jacket and my cap. it’s time for a long lazy walk in the park with Buddy, my dog.

Example #2: A Rainy, Windy Day

It’s a rainy day today. I cannot go out, so I sit by the window and watch the scene outside. A strong wind whistles around the house. In the yard, the pretty leaves are falling off the tree. They are all flying up in the air. They are beautiful. They are orange, red, brown, and gold. I like to watch the leaves fly wildly about. The rain and wind make the leaves dance like they have a life of their own. Soon, the leaves will all be on the ground. I can help my parents rake them up tomorrow. I like this time of year!
