What are the beliefs behind Wai Kru Ceremony?

         “Wai Kru ceremony” is a traditional Thai ritual that has been practiced since ancient times with the purpose of showing yourself to be your disciple and showing gratitude to teachers. Wai Kru is usually held on any Thursday around May or June. In the Wai Kru ceremony, there are important elements that are Phan Wai Khru. The Phan Wai Khru will have rice and flowers. The flowers used to pay respect to teachers are 1. Ya Phraek means I wish you to learn as fast as grass praek That grows quickly and is resistant to weathering, resistant to trampling. which is like Teacher’s instruction 2. Flower needles refer to Have a sharp mind like the name of the flower spike which is a riddle that Teachers must organize teaching and learning to cultivate ideas. Let students be smart (head-wise) and know how to analyze and criticize 3. Eggplant flowers represent The analogy that eggplant flowers always turn upside down when giving birth shows that students who will learn to be successful must know how to be humble, polite, and polite. Like an eggplant leaning down 4. Puffed rice, because puffed rice is made from paddy that is roasted with low heat. Finally,in my opinion Wai Kru ceremony worth keeping because it’s  the ancient ceremony and ceremony that teaches our to have gratitude.
